Scan Doc AI ("we", "our", "the app") is a document scanning application. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data the app accesses and how it is handled.
We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers.
Scan Doc AI is a client-side application. All document processing, OCR, image enhancement, and file conversion happens entirely on your device.
The app stores the following data locally on your device using IndexedDB (browser storage):
This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export or share it.
The app requests camera access to scan documents. Camera data is processed locally and is never transmitted to any server. You can revoke camera access at any time through your device settings.
The app loads the following open-source libraries from CDNs for functionality:
These CDNs may log standard web request data (IP address, user agent) according to their own privacy policies. No document content is sent to these services.
All text recognition (OCR) is performed locally on your device using Tesseract.js. Your document images are never uploaded to any cloud service for processing.
The app does not knowingly collect any data from children under 13. Since no personal data is collected from any user, this is inherently compliant.
You can delete all stored data at any time through Settings > Delete All Documents. Uninstalling the app also removes all locally stored data.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
